Computers

We currently have 3 computers available for public use, first come, first serve. Sessions can be up to one hour long.

The Castlegar Library has 3 public-use computers with Microsoft Office, internet access and access to a printer (black & white or colour). Wireless internet access is available throughout the library premises. Computer and internet access is free, and computers are available for a maximum of 60 minutes per day on a first-come, first-served basis.


Printing

Black and white — 10 cents per page (20 cents double-sided)

Colour — 25 cents per page (50 cents double-sided)

Regular printer paper only. Maximum 100 pages per day.

Send your print job from any computer or device.

  1. Email the item you want to print as an attachment to cdpl@printspots.com for black and white: 10 cents per page (unfortunately, the option to email colour copies is not available at this time).
  2. You will receive a confirmation email with a release code.
  3. Bring your release code to the checkout desk in the library and we will release your print job. Please note: print jobs expire after 72 hours.
  4. View our library’s Internet Policy.

Photocopying

Regular printer paper only. Maximum 100 pages per day.

Black & white copy — 10 cents (double-sided 20 cents)

Colour copy — 25 cents (double-sided 50 cents)


Scanning to email is available free of charge, with a limit of five pages.


Fax service — $5.00 per fax.


Digitization station

The library offers two computers for members with a valid library card to use a flatbed scanner and access the graphic design program Corel Graphics Suite. Sessions can be up to two hours long.

Staff are able to assist with basic operations, however, users will be responsible for learning how to use the software on their own with the assistance of help files, how to videos via library subscriptions, or print manuals.
