Wildfire Author Talk

Join us at the library for a community discussion with local authors and artists Anne Degrace, Nathan Wilkinson, Leesa Dean and Renée Harper.

Nathan Wilkinson and Anne DeGrace will be sharing a sneak peek at We Were Found in the Fires, an upcoming graphic novel in which forests are burning, old-growth activists are blockading, and a rookie wildfire fighter wrestles with her Doukhobor past. Leesa Dean and Renée Harper will share poetry from their collections and take part in a fascinating community discussion about graphic novels, our B.C. wildfire situation, and the challenging process of writing culturally relevant fiction.

This event is appropriate for adults and older teens.
