Donated by the Donna Schmidt Lung Cancer Prevention Society, the Castlegar Library has a number of digital radon detectors to lend out. These short-term detectors can be lent for a six week loan period to Castlegar patrons with a valid library card.

Thermal Imaging Cameras
Donated by the Regional District of Central Kootenay, the Castlegar Library has 2 thermal imaging cameras to lend, one for use with Android phones, one for use with iPhones. These monitors can be lent for a three week loan period to Castlegar patrons with a valid library card.

Carbon Dioxide Monitors
Donated by CAVI, the Castlegar Library has 5 Aranet CO2 monitors to lend. These monitors give fast readings on an indoor room’s CO2 levels, temperature, and relative humidity. These sensors can be lent for a six week loan period to Castlegar patrons with a valid library card.
